Midtown Bonita is a 68-acre mixed-use development on Bonita Beach Road east of I-75. The project brings restaurants, shopping, services, apartments and future hospitality together in a pedestrian-friendly setting. Here is what is planned, which businesses have been named, and when openings are expected.
What Is Midtown Bonita?
A New Mixed-Use Destination
Plans call for approximately 175,000–200,000 square feet of commercial space, including restaurants, shops, offices and services. The larger development also includes 400 apartments at Paradiso, future residential uses and a planned 165-room hotel.
More than 30 acres are designated for lakes, preserves and open space. The internal layout is designed so visitors can park and walk between businesses, though this is not a walkable downtown connected to surrounding neighborhoods.

A report dated August 31, 2026 indicated that approximately 75% of commercial space was committed. This refers to leasing, not the share of stores currently open.

Midtown Bonita is located along Bonita Beach Road near Bonita Grande Drive. The project has approximately 1,300 feet of Bonita Beach Road frontage between two signalized intersections.
When Will Midtown Bonita Open?
Opening in Phases
Paradiso: The 400-unit apartment community is already open.
First commercial openings: Expected to begin in late 2026, with more tenants opening throughout 2027. Exact schedules vary by business.
LowBrow Pizza: Reportedly targeting the first two weeks of December 2026. This is a target, not a confirmed opening date.
Future hotel: A 165-room hotel has been approved or planned, but no opening date has been confirmed.
