Bonita Springs Beach Access Points: Every Public Beach Access Point Explained

Bonita Spring beach access points are located along Hickory Boulevard from the north end of Bonita Beach toward Little Hickory Island. Accesses #1 through #9 are neighborhood beach entrances maintained by Lee County. Most provide direct public access to the Gulf but have limited roadside parking and few amenities.

Beach Access #10 is Little Hickory Island Beach Park, which offers a larger parking area and additional facilities. Bonita Beach Park, located near Bonita Beach Access #1, is a separate county park with its own parking lot, picnic areas, playground, and beach access.

Because parking is limited at many of the numbered accesses, arriving before mid-morning is recommended during weekends, holidays, and throughout the winter season.

Bonita Beach Access #1 is the largest of the numbered beach accesses and one of the most popular places to reach Bonita Beach. It features a paved parking lot with paid parking, picnic shelters, grills, outdoor showers, and direct beach access. Restrooms are not located at this access but are available a short walk away at nearby Bonita Beach Park.

This access is an excellent choice if you’re planning to spend several hours at the beach and want more amenities than the smaller neighborhood access points provide. Because of its popularity, parking often fills early during weekends and throughout the winter season. Access #1 is one of only two numbered accesses with paid parking.

Bonita Beach Access #2

Beach Access #2 is a small neighborhood access offering a short walk directly onto Bonita Beach. Parking is limited to a small number of roadside spaces, making this a quieter alternative to the larger public parking areas.

There are no restrooms, showers, or picnic facilities here. Visitors looking for a peaceful stretch of beach often appreciate Access #2, particularly during weekdays or early mornings. Parking at Accesses #2 through #9 is free, although spaces are extremely limited.

Bonita Beach Access #3

Located just south of Access #2, Beach Access #3 provides another convenient public entrance to the Gulf. Like the neighboring accesses, visitors will find only a handful of roadside parking spaces and a short boardwalk leading over the dunes to the beach.

There are no public facilities at this location, but the reward is often a less crowded section of Bonita Beach than visitors find near the larger county parks. Arriving early is recommended, as the limited parking fills quickly during peak season.

Bonita Beach Access #4

Beach Access #4 is a simple public beach entrance with a short boardwalk leading across the dunes to the Gulf. A limited number of free roadside parking spaces are available nearby, but there are no restrooms, showers, or other facilities.

This access is popular with residents and visitors staying in nearby condominiums who want quick access to the beach without the larger crowds typically found at Bonita Beach Park or Access #1.

Bonita Beach Access #5

Beach Access #5 provides another convenient public entrance to Bonita Beach with a short walk from the roadside parking area to the sand. Parking is free but limited to only a few marked spaces.

Like most of the neighborhood accesses, visitors should plan to bring everything they’ll need for the day since there are no public restrooms, outdoor showers, picnic tables, or concessions.

Bonita Beach Access #6

Beach Access #6 is one of the quieter public entrances along Hickory Boulevard. A short dune crossover leads directly to a wide stretch of Bonita Beach that often feels less crowded than the larger public parks.

Only a handful of free roadside parking spaces are available, and no public amenities are provided. If you’re looking for a peaceful morning walk, shelling, or a relaxing sunset without large crowds, this access is an excellent option.

Bonita Beach Access #7

Beach Access #7 is a small neighborhood beach entrance offering direct public access to Bonita Beach. A short boardwalk crosses the dunes to the Gulf, and a limited number of free roadside parking spaces are available nearby.

There are no public restrooms, showers, picnic areas, or concessions at this access. Visitors who arrive early are often rewarded with a quieter section of beach that’s ideal for walking, shelling, or enjoying the sunset.

Bonita Beach Access #8

Beach Access #8 is one of the smallest public beach entrances on Bonita Beach. It provides a direct walkover to the sand with only a few free roadside parking spaces available along Hickory Boulevard.

Because there are no public facilities, this access is best suited for visitors looking for a simple, convenient way to reach the beach. During busy weekends and the winter season, the limited parking often fills early in the day.

Bonita Beach Access #9

Beach Access #9 is the southernmost of the neighborhood beach accesses before Little Hickory Island Beach Park. Visitors will find a short dune crossover leading directly to Bonita Beach and a small number of free roadside parking spaces.

Like Accesses #2 through #8, there are no restrooms, showers, or other amenities. Its location toward the southern end of Bonita Beach often makes it a good choice for those hoping to enjoy a quieter stretch of shoreline away from the busiest public parking areas.

Compared to many of the smaller Bonita Beach access points, Little Hickory Island Beach Park offers more amenities and is well suited for families and visitors planning to spend the day at the beach.
