Getting Your Driver’s License in Lee County

The Bonita Springs Office is located on South Tamiami Trail.

The Cape Coral Office is in the Government Building across the street from the main Cape Coral Post Office.

DOWNTOWN FORT MYERS

The Downtown Fort Myers Office is in the Melvin Morgan Constitutional Complex building.

The Melvin Morgan Constitutional Complex is a 4-story black glass structure with the back of the building facing Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard. Customer parking is available on the north side of the building on both sides of Thompson Street.

LEHIGH ACRES

The Lehigh Acres Office is in the DeLaCruz Professional Centre just east of the Lee Boulevard and Sunshine Boulevard intersection.

NORTH FORT MYERS

The North Fort Myers Office is in the Merchants Crossing Shopping Center on US 41 North.

The South Ft. Myers Office is located between McGregor Boulevard and Summerlin Boulevard. Address: 15680 Pine Ridge Rd, Fort Myers, FL 33908

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security REAL ID Act became effective nationwide in 2008, mandating new standards for the issuance of driver licenses and identification cards. Florida began issuing REAL ID-compliant credentials January 1, 2010. New driver licenses and ID cards have a star in the upper right corner of the card, indicating that they are REAL ID-compliant. As part of the REAL ID Act, there are documentation requirements for residents renewing or obtaining a new driver license or ID card. For the first in-office issuance after January 1, 2010, customers must bring original documents that validate their identity, Social Security Number (SSN) and residential address.
