Hurricane Ian Storm Damaged Property For Sale

Are you curious about Hurricane Ian storm-damaged property for sale? Storm-damaged properties  began hitting the market within days of the storm moving out of Southwest Florida and will continue to be listed for weeks and months to follow. Since the majority of the damage done by the hurricane was due to storm-surge, most of the properties damaged were those closest to the coast. There are HUGE opportunities for investors!

Many of the properties for sale are in coveted, luxury areas and are being listed at lot value. Most will require cash purchases. Some will need to be torn down entirely and others are repairable. All will be on a case by case basis. We are already seeing price reductions in just recently listed homes and many already under contract by new buyers/investors.

Salvageable, repairable properties, with the right contractors, can be repaired and added to our rental market as quickly as possible. January through April are the hottest months and priciest months to rent in SWFL (short-term rentals). It’s so important to use a knowledgeable, local Realtor who know which communities have no restrictions regarding rentals and/or which ones have liberal rental policies. Homes that are properly repaired can also be listed for sale for our busy season market.

Some of the new mansions stand beside old houses dating back to the early 20th century. Every avenue, from Gulf Drive on the north to 14th Avenue on the south ends at the beach. These avenues each have little city parks with benches and are favorite spots for locals to watch the sunset.

Naples Park

Tucked between popular Vanderbilt Beach and U.S. 41, the intimate community of Naples Park is comprised of single-family homes that boast close proximity to both the beach as well as the famous Naples amenities.

Naples Park is a non-gated community with no deed restrictions and no Homeowner’s Association fees. It is comprised of roughly 3000 separate lots, around 2500 of which have completed homes. Each lot is 50 ft. by 135 ft., or 0.15 acres, and some homes rest on bigger lots that are typically double in size. The community is set up in a city pattern, with 4 major “blocks” dividing smaller East/West sections to create a grid system that makes driving around the neighborhood much easier. Similarly, Naples Park runs flush against U.S. 41 on its East side, giving you unprecedented convenience when traveling around the Naples area.

Location in Naples Parks is important. An educated, local Realtor (like me) can show you which areas of Naples Park are the most popular and which sell/rent for more.
